The Chapter makes up the Brother/Sisterhood of the Resurrection Community Church. This is a group of laymen and laywomen who have assembled together, not just from throughout the country, but throughout the world. They have come together to take their vows under the Third Order of Franciscans. This order, originally founded by St. Francis of Assisi, is comprised of three vows; poverty, chastity, and obedience. These men and women live in the world, have regular jobs and families, and at the same time are not subject to the world. They seek to draw closer to the Lord by practicing these three vows and living a contemplative life in spirit. They also seek the Lord by serving their fellow man and showing God's love.

Joining Chapter
Interested in taking a closer walk with Jesus? Here are a few of the requirements:

• Candidates are men and women from the age of 15 or older.
• Candidates may be married or single, widowed or divorced.
• Candidates apply for membership through the elders of the Community of the Crucified One, Inc.
• Candidates enter into a five year step by step training program.
• Candidates make further 10 year commitments as they are led by the Lord.
• Candidates serve in a variety of different programs and ministries, including Prayer, Music,
  Young Adults, Children's, Charitable works, Library, Audio Visual and Building Ministries.
• Candidates may be members with commitments to other churches or ministries who can participate as Associate Members or be embraced.
